Mission of the Lae Lae Collection

The collection is designed as an innovative, interactive learning program.  It empowers the child to explore his or her own natural curiosity about the world to develop awareness and a caring attitude.  The collection gently teaches positive values in a simple, fun and non-threatening way.
It has been proven that reading to a child for just twenty minutes a day can make a huge positive difference in the child’s life.  It helps the child develop language skills, increase listening ability and attention span, and enjoy inquisitive thinking.  It also enhances a child’s creativity and exposes the child to new concepts, thoughts and experiences.
The collection is designed for a range of ages and is suitable for different ages in different ways.  At the earliest age level the books encourage and support the adult/child “cuddle time” essential for the youngest children.  They encourage the love of reading and the skill of communicating.
As the child prepares to enter the first grade, the books help the child to be ready to achieve success in both english language proficiency and in mathematics comprehension and ability as they get ready for school.
“Not enough words have been written about the importance of love, nurturing and positive reinforcement to get children to thrive. I am a mother; I have a degree in Child Development and I have been involved in my husband’s pediatric practice for over 20 years. In thousands of families that have passed through our office, I have seen that the children best adjusted are those whose families show their love by doing activities with their children, especially reading. Reading with your children makes family ties stronger; opens new horizons, teaches the young ones new concepts, vocabulary, morals, and ethics. It is because of these reasons that I am writing in support of Laurenn’s books. I think she goes a long way in helping children and families to thrive."
