Hi It's Zoe. Today I'd like to talk about healthy eating. It's very important to eat healthy food because you want to grow up big and strong. If you like to play sports, you have to eat healthy food because you want to have big muscles and be the star player. I know, I had to when I was on a softball team. You have to eat healthy for many reasons, like keeping your brain alert so you can play with your friends. Healthy food keeps you from getting sick too.

Many people don't like to eat healthy foods like broccoli, spinach, and cucumber, but I know a way you can have fun with cucumber. Here is a fun recipe that makes a healthy and tasty snack. I really enjoy making these cucumber cups all by myself now. I make a plate of them for everyone in the family to eat.

Cucumber Cups recipe:

    1 cucumber
    Flavored yogurt
    Small spoon
    Vegetable peeler
    Small knife
    Raisons

Have your mommy or daddy peel the cucumber and cut it into one inch thick pieces, lengthwise. Here's the fun part for you. Hollow out the cucumber with a small spoon, but leave enough  cucumber to create a bottom or cup. Fill each cup with a dollop of yogurt and top the yogurt with a raison. There you have it, a cucumber cup! I love these things.

Eating healthy means eating vegetables and fruit, not just fruit. As my mom often says, "You want to eat a rainbow everyday. It brings a smile in every way!" That means eating lots of vegetables and fruit that have bright colors because the color means it has important vitamins in it. I love broccoli and cauliflower, carrots and cucumber. I could keep listing all the vegetables and fruit I like to eat, but I have to go. Leave a comment and share with me your favorite fruit and vegetable. And don't forget to read my next blog. Bye!
