Tinker had lost his partner a few months earlier and he was lonely and needed a companion. And he needed someone to play with him up as he was getting older and was slowing down. So I did my best to convince Mimi that I was just the dog friend for Tinker. The people at the shelter let us play in a big pen together to see if we could be a match and I liked Tinker right away. He was a little shaggy shih tzu who had been a pound puppy himself one day. And since I'm a shih tzu too I could see that we were two of a kind (only I have a better hairdo!) I could see that he needed a friend and some activity so we played together and Mimi decided that I was the one! I ready to go.
I brought all of my tricks with me. I chase balls (but sometimes I don't bring them back to you), I sit up for my treats and I will lay down when you tell me to. Sometimes I drink out of Mimi's fountain (she doesn't have chemicals in the water and she doesn't mind) and I am an all around good guy. Tinker and I walk together, sit together and sleep together - it was love at first sight. Thanks Mimi for adopting me! Just goes to show you that us older guys can be great pets too.
